Plymouth's Mindful Art Club is providing a lifeline to those in need, Mindful Art Club has provided a lifeline to people across the city facing mental health challenges - and now the group is back operating in the community.
Members of the Plymouth community have been thoroughly enjoying Friday morning at The Clipper at 09:30 with great company, artistic development & mental well-being therapies.
Group Leaders Emma & Peggy began Mindful Art Club after redundancies with in their previous jobs rolls at Broadreach Support.
Peggy and Emma both have BA (Hons) degrees in Art and have current DBS certificates. They have also undergone training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and have extensive experience of working with vulnerable people; especially those who have experienced substance misuse, mental health issues, time in prison, homelessness, and/or domestic abuse.
The Friday morning group at The Clipper is an inclusive drop in session where no booking is required, however, with current restrictions until the proposed ease of lock-down restrictions on 19th July, booking is advised. Visit the Mindful Art Club website for more details.
