Midnight Walk 1982

Home Park Stadium

Our iconic Midnight Walk returns on Friday 22 July and we’d love you to be part of it! This year’s event is even more special because we’re proudly marking the milestone of 40 years since we welcomed our first patients, in 1982. Join us in remembering each and every person we’ve had the privilege of looking after, then and since, walking in tribute to them.

It’s thanks to the kindness of supporters like you that our charity is still going the extra mile to care for terminally ill people in your local area, making an important difference to them and their families at the toughest of times.

Sponsored by Drakes Jewellers, Midnight Walk is a fantastic opportunity to get your mates together for a great night out that does good in your community, surrounded by like-minded ladies also celebrating the lives of their lost loved ones.

This year – for the first time – we’ve added a 2.5-mile route that’s ideal for young children. Both girls and boys under 17 are welcome too, so you can choose to make Midnight Walk a family affair by walking 5, 10 or 15 miles, together.

Whichever distance you select, you’ll be helping local hospice care continue for the next 40 years – and beyond.

Human Library at Plymouth Respect Festival

Theatre Royal Plymouth

The Human Library visits Plymouth for a Human Library experience at the Plymouth Respect Festival where you can borrow, read and ask questions of a Human Book for 30-minutes and have a curious and courageous dialogue about sometimes uncomfortable topics or awkward conversations.

Our Books are drawn from the groups in society that are stigmatised or stereotyped, marginalised, mistreated or misunderstood, from race to religion or refugees, disability to discrimination, LGBT to mental health and more.

Come along between 12 and 4 PM and have a chat with a Book (all questions are welcome without judgement) or just chat to us about the concept and perhaps get involved

SATURDAY, 23 JULY 2022 FROM 12:00-16:00

Kelp & Critters Workshop

The Climate Hub, 67 New George Street, Plymouth, PL1 1DG, United Kingdom

KELP & CRITTERS is an Art workshop led by Camilla Brendon which explores making sea creatures, with recycled materials, that use kelp as a breeding ground and for shelter.

KELP FOREST - ENHANCING BIODIVERSITY AND FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE

Kelp is large brown algae that form forests in shallow waters. They provide coastal protection, breeding grounds for countless species, produce oxygen, store carbon and are used to make food and medicine.
